The FAST-MAG Trial is making
special efforts to inform and consult with members of the
communities that are served by the Los Angeles Emergency Medical
Service (EMS) Agency.
As a way to notify the public and potential study participants
in advance, informational meetings are being carried out in the
participating communities throughout the County of Los Angeles.
These meetings are to inform members in the communities about
the nature and purpose of the research and its potential risks
and benefits. It is also to educate the public about their right
to decline participation.
Additionally, the meetings provide the community with an
opportunity to discuss the project and provide feedback about
the research. All members from the Los Angeles County Community
are invited to provide their input on the FAST-MAG Trial at
these community consultation meetings. Doctors, nurses and
paramedics will be presenting the details of the research study
and look forward to your questions and comments at this open
forum.
